Is CMC Medical Services HIPAA Compliant?
- Our medical practice management software through Claim Gear and
   our transcription software through Dictaphone is HIPAA compliant.
   Our office is also HIPAA Compliant.

What do you need to file a claim?
- Copy of patient demographic form
- Copy of the front and back of insurance card(s)
- Superbills, daysheets, or daily charge sheets which include CPT
   Codes and ICD-9 Codes. Also modifiers and HCPCS Codes
   if needed.

How do we get information to you?

The delivery method is customized to the needs of each provider.

Do I still need to keep records in my office?
Yes, all original paperwork must be kept at your office in accordance with state and federal record retention laws.
 

Where do patients and insurance companies send their checks?
All payments from patients and insurance companies go directly to your office. This gives you control and access to your money.

Can the patients call your office to inquire about their account?Patients are welcome to contact our office if they have questions about their accounts.

Do you provide procedures and/or diagnosis coding?
No, because we don't have access to the patient's medical record.
