We use Claim Gear Medical Practice Management Software which is internet based, HIPAA compliant, and uses the same internet security features as online banking. This software can be loaded onto your computer(s) for free and you are able to access your account at any time. We use transcription software from Dictaphone, which is internet based and fully HIPAA compliant. The provider dictates over the telephone using a toll free phone number. We retrieve the dictation from our secure internet account with Dictaphone. After the dictation is transcribed, we encrypt the transcription and email it back to the provider. The provider then uses a password to decrypt the transcription. Our turn-around time is usually within 24 hours and never more than 36 hours.
